• Be aware, if you go down the ombusdman route, the ins co will shut up shop there and then, and await the outcome. And a lot of the IO decisions are appalling, and often take and age to grind on. You are best off exhausting other routes first, and treat IO as the desperate last resort.

    Overall agree, but the threat of an ombudsman complaint could make the insurer take the matter more seriously.
