my method is nice oily chain,not to oily though, chain tension perfect, to tight makes noise and to loose i find sketchy
it is quieter when its got abit loose though, also with a new cog and a chain thats a few months old it dose make a noise for a while to wear in, but maybe every one else knows that oredy, but i dont know, could be the problem...
