On a serious note though, its not "Australians" who treat the indigenous population poorly, most Australians just don't care... And I include myself in that as I've never actively done anything about it with the exception of bleating abou it around the dinner table.
The aboriginal community has been the victim of institutional & goernmental failings for ever. They don't vote so no-one cares.
