    Sorry to hear you have had a knee problems.

    I have Osgood-Schlatters in my right knee and it has never affected (so far) my cycling. When it was diagnosed (aged 13), I was told I would never be able to do much cycling. In my 20s I got a mountain bike and got roped in to a London to Brighton ride. Knee was fine. My doctor was wrong. Began cycling a lot. Quite a bit of running and football too. At 46, I have clocked up a good few miles without the O-S being an issue. I have always used 2 brakes fixed BTW.

    Never say never, Ed. Give it some time. I had one bad flare up at 25. Did three daily stretches (quads, hamstrings and calves), three times a day and it settled. I always warm down from any exercise with those stretches.
