If you could do the dynamo I don't think you should have a problem with this! Not sure I could have done it tbh but I'm definitely doing it next year.
But yes if you're not too far away I'd recommend RP as an easy way of getting some miles in, especially if you're pushed for time (I managed a 19.6 mph average last night which is difficult on normal roads).
