Thanks for all the kind words, I am really chuffed with it I have to say.
It wasn't all down to patience, I bought it as a fixed-gear conversion, and I'd been riding it like that for the last year or so. Started collecting the bits and pieces to do it up over the past few months, and when I had them all I took the frame to be sprayed.
Secretly though I was delaying a bit because I liked looking at it when it was all shiny too much. I've had it out on a maiden voyage in the Chilterns, one of those Evans rides in Herfordshire last weekend and really enjoying it.
This is my second full "project" and I'm getting a bit worried it's becoming an addiction. I feel so empty inside when I haven't got a project on the go! ;) Have a lovely Carlton Flyer track bike I'd like to get started on, but trying to hold off until the winter for the sake of my bank balance!
