  • Well I've done a bit more digging and because it has the old-style type on the down tube but new-style on chainguard, as well as a red 'R' on the front axle nuts and cotter nuts, it seems to be a 1969 model, so not quite as old as I thought.

    Other little mystery is that the bell is American and the paperwork seems to be too. The warranty card has an address in Boston on it as well as somewhere to put a stamp.

    Would Raleigh have made British bike buyers pay air mail to register their warranty? Or is it a US bike?

    Awesome, it look older than I though, at first appearance it look like it's from the late 70's, but seeing the photo up close, it's a much earlier model, especially with the pulley system for the internal gear.

    Look like you got yourself a good buy.
