How not to build a fixie?

After the disappointment of today's match, it was good to see someone fail even harder.

OK, maybe that's harsh - after all, he made himself a working fixie. And he's happy with it. But why did he post about it on the internet? I mean, I'm happy with the wank I had this morning, but I'm not under the misapprehension that anyone else wants to know about it, let alone see photos or worse still, a video.
