What a lovely day!
It started in Effingham at 14:20, yes the usual lovely intimate Effingham, a quick stop at the usual pissing point, a few moments watching around ..north? south? well who the fuck cares... 44 miles, 6 climbs, 3 killer gradients... I must agree with Jung.. Barhatch is the king of the gradients in that area.. but Tanhurst is not much less.
I really appreciated the silence due to the no presence of any human flesh.. every single second of that; no waiting, no stopping, no worries about catching up with faster flesh and no dick faces; just a few rabbits, sheep, cows, birds, a cat, plenty of noisy forrest, and no fucking dogs and not even jackals....
It took me three hours for this SSTC recce/ride, and I found some really nice bits...
A quick stop at the usual pub, just half a pint of guinness this time, alone, usually I don't really bother with drinks... back at home at 6:30, shower, dinner and now movie.
