Ed, you might want to mind which version - there are 3, the 2006 and earlier Ergo, the identical looking and (IMHO) crap QS version that came after, then the new shape UltraShift. The QS version only works efficiently with a QS front mech, but worse the shifting range on the RH shifter is limited compared to the others. There were problems with some of the early UltraShift version as well (imprecise and not positive shifting on some). Beware, is all I'm saying, they were not all created equal.
p.s. if you already have a front mech and it says QS on it, and then buy non-QS Ergos, you might want to get a non-QS front mech as well. In Campag's own words:
p.p.s. 10spd Daytona Ergos are a good match for a Centaur gruppo to broaden your search scope. They look identical to the silver-bladed Centaur ones. Except they say Daytona on them.
