It could be the sole of your shoe rubbing/squeaking on the platform of the pedal. If that is the case then grease, oil etc,. could stop it but it gets messy.
I was getting lots of noise from some Aliums which led me to put my Eggbeaters back on and rediscovering how much better they are (easier to get in and out, more float) now I am back on Singlespeed rather than fixed!
