will they carry heavy loads? What would happen if someone sat in it? Just bend down or worse things? Two struts down to the front hub would be nice i think, hard to implement though while keeping that nice and simple
Shame to not be able to ride with your own handlebars, but guess it could be worth the trade off for the simplicity
