    It's not difficult.
Over the last twelve years of riding I've been caught out in the shittiest places in the shittiest conditions, sometimes 60 or 70 miles from home. I know what I'm on about.
Probably reads as dull to someone who does half a mile a day.

    This^.

I don't bother carrying spare chainlinks but not having a spare tube or basic repair kit is a bit silly... and you can buy a decent mini-pump for the price of 4 days' travel cards.

I hope that wasn't aimed at me? I carry two spare tubes, and patches/gum, levers, pump, spanner and allens everywhere. I was just saying that compact style of pack is really good, it's about time I got one, especially for those fast rides where I don;t want a barbag, pannier, backpack or whatever.

    We are SO boring, GeneralLucifer.
