Sorry to add to your woes but insurance generally is a nightmare for rare/custom bikes unless you're insured with anyone decent. They will likely try to fob you off with a nearest equivalent which will be nowhere near as good or just pay half the amount insured or other such crap. Who are you insured with?
And yes either way speak to them ASAP, it looks suspicious if you leave it too long.
