No....WE are not. I had always said in MIXED conditions, and on MIXED surfaces, slightly dimpled/patterned tyres afforded better grip. I had never argued only about hard and wet surfaces.
mmm, you seem to be moving around a bit here. You started with comments around needing tread for water dispersal, and I have mentioned hard surfaces all along and while you started talking about treaded tyres you are now just referring to slightly dimpled tyres which are completely different to treaded tyres.
I would imagine the dimples on those tyres (especially the Zipp) are as much to do with aerodynamics as grip (the Zipp is very golf ball like)
