They are only bought by people who have a quantifiably superior cycling ability......as well as a few no-hoper fanboys. Just ask around.
In fact, the Vittoria tyres are their top of the range, and at between £30-£40 each, are not for idling tootling around and puncture strewn commutes. Also, the Zipp Tangente is targeted at pro triathletes. The Veloflex Pave is similarly expensive, and excruitiatingly exclusive, that they would hardly ever been seen on the roads.
