So Dynamos in a group can get to Brighton within 2hrs 45mins and 3 hours. [...] I still think it's totally silly to think anyone stands much of a chance to beat them except for the Rapha Condor CC team if they're entered. As such... admit defeat and go for fun.

Well, it's certain that no-one's going to beat good roadies if they're really going for it. I think the aim is more for a respectable showing on fixed (if we can get the riders together for the second team). If the strongest lfgss riders enter, they'll beat 2 hours and 45 minutes easily. Even I've done that time (from East Croydon) riding a non-hilly route. Rapha-Condor-Sharp would probably do something like 1 hour and 45 minutes to two hours ... checkpoints and hills permitting.
