Hi, I'm looking for some stuff to finish off a girl's bike build - cheap is the key here, she has no budget and I only convinced her to get a nice single speed instead of some shit off brick lane by saying I could get everything on the cheap, and we spent much of her budget on the frame. Anything that can be given free would be much appreciated! We aren't looking for top end parts
deep drop brake calipers - approx 60mm drop if poss, and old style (bolt, non-recessed) fitting
plain silver straight brake levers to fit cruiser style bars, the really basic ones
27.2mm silver seatpost - can be quite short
JIS taper cranks - road ones would be ideal - I have some 144bcd and 130bcd chainrings so either size would be lovely
a freewheel - between 16 and 18t, although this kind of depends on the cranks.
I have bits to swap from parts, such as handlebars, ISO taper cranks, brake levers, other sized seatposts (26.6, 26.0, 25.0 layback), spokes, crappy saddles etc, plus assorted crap. Let me know if you can help with any of the above.
I'm in Hackney/bloomsbury but can travel to pick-up
