Fair enough--I certainly wouldn't say that any posties should be forced to ride for work. However, Ed's example was of a postman who clearly wanted to ride a bike--presumably in all weathers, and who has had a long career as a postman. It is of course possible that he wasn't actually sacked for not being able to drive/not wanting to pass a driving test, but for something else, but if he was, then I still think his sacking was disgraceful.
