The exhaust would be awesome especially as you are losing the cat.
I think the brakes are still bedding in and you may need to take the car out and "push" it a bit.
I am off out soon to do an oil and filter change on my 323i I am lucky as my mate works somewhere with a car hoist lol
gone are the days of throwing money at cars but it was fun, I think I'll save up and get an M3 ;p
