Thinking about it what are our costs going to be? If we set off early on the 18th then we could arrive in the evening, but I think it would be more pleasant to plan to stay somewhere on the evening of the 18th, and make it to the villa on the 19th.

Petrol for 2,000 miles, fuel consumption of car is approx 24mpg/super unleaded
Ferry, there and back
Motorway tolls, there and back
B&B or campsite costs for 2 nights- one on the way, one on way back
We could look at Eurocamp or someone similar for the overnight stops- we used them when I was a child holidaying in France.
Unless anyone has a pad they'd lend us around half way?

What's that in £?

It's £170 + 140EUR to fly Luftwaffe to Trieste. I'm not really bothered if it's more expensive by car coz it'll be way more fun.
