The body is a hell of an upgrade.
The only drawback to an upgrade is that they no longer take Compact Flash cards and now take SDHC cards. In one way this is better as they are more common, larger and cheaper. But in other ways it sucks as she's likely to have a load of CF cards.
I'd say that if she's happy with the lenses she has and isn't lusting after something to fill a gap there then the camera body upgrade would be a great present.
