  • Yep, that's why reducing bit depth won't really impact on the size of the project, the files are kept on the HD and not in RAM and are (pre) loaded when needed.

    Reducing Bit Depth on newer versions will recalculate maximum project size according to the system's capabilities, and more RAM is an amazingly good way to make typing abusive forum posts that much smoother.

    However, Wayne is version 3 of GB, and therefore Tynan wins. Massively.

    And Grooves is totally right as well. That's the difference between some cheapo M-Audio interface, and an Apogee Duet, or something TC Electronics.
