I was just thinking could I manage both...but then noted the middle-of-no-where-at-6am start and my enthusiasm immediately exited left stage. meh.

the marathon ride is starting at 6.40 or 6.30 if the numbers become too big so you should still be able to do the double. blackheath is a lovely area you might even be able to ride over from your neck of the woods with one of the riders on the list. put an ask on the marathon thread.
