Thats what Im hping for in April, ru... Though I cant spell it.
The other option is that they will give me C-Pap, which I'd rather avoid. Im only 29 so apparently Im a good candidate for the surgery. I've done 2 sleep studies which revealed that I am cactus.
Did you go to ENT in Clerkenwell?
No - I was living in the midlands at the time, so went in Nottingham.
I had mine done about the same age. As they were putting me under for the op, the nurse said - 'Ooh you're so brave. You must really love your girlfriend.'
When the nerves start growing back in your throat a day or 2 after the op it is agonising (sorry). My sister in law was a nurse and nicked me a load of serious painkillers as I was sent home with only paracetamol or something.
Make sure you get decent painkillers off your doctor before you go home!!
However - it was one of the most sensible things I've had done. Sleep after is a million times better. I have the odd apnoea episode (after alot of booze), but they are rare and less extreme and I feel much better as a result. (Eventually gave up the fags too, which also helped).

Hope that hasn't freaked you out too much!
