I don't recommend squirting him. Not that I've ever tried that... Our cat used to do the same thing, but doesn't now. You've just moved so perhaps he's feeling a little like he needs the security of his family?
You shouldn't let him outside for about 3 weeks after moving house.
Also, food. I started putting down a little extra food to get him through the night and he stopped bothering us. In fact, if he ever comes in the bedroom now, I'll just find him curled up and sleeping. He'll wait for us to wake up.
