fyi - a good solid swipe at normal riding pace can remove the whole mirror and casing from a bendy bus. He then can't continue his journey. Learned.

Nor can the 60 people on the bus just trying to get to work. When they got off that bus they will then all have to pay another £1.20 to finnish there journy giving TFL arround another £70 that they wouldn't have got before covering the exese for the wing mirror and sticking a little bit extra into thire pockets. This dosent even accound for all the broken glass in the road giving the next 5 cyclists punchers.
