• How you get on with distance-learning really depends on your learning style. I have been doing OU modules paid for by work as CPD (continuing professional development). Personally I don't like it - I do okay, but I don't like it. For me, one of the most enjoyable and important aspects of learning is being with people and you really don't get that with the OU. Sure, you might meet your tutor and group once every six weeks but that's not enough to form the relationships with tutors and peers which make learning interesting.
