I've been looking and there's a pretty fast 256gb Samsung for £480 or so.
I've got 100gb 7200 and don't want to go down in size but it looks like you defo pay premium for the bigger stuff.
Yeah Im using a 64Gb SSD for my main machine, you dont need to buy a huge one just have your OS and core apps on it and redirect your My Docs/Home Directories to your bigger 7200 drive. the performance is noticeable straight away, I was reading about start up times and how it is like bringing your machine from a sleep state - I still get caught out thinking I have left my machine on all night ;) Apps load quicker games run better - the figures are *goes off to googelize *155 MB/s and 90 MB/s read/write speeds and seek times of less than 0.35ms
*edit, ah wait you were talking about your laptop right? ..just get a 120Gb you greedy fucker ;) keep the porn on that removable drive you hide under the washing machine
