God yeah, she got a little excited at all the lycra... actually i have a photo of the two of them. I should find it!
It was the way he sat at the table after riding 160 miles weeks after breaking his hip, he could barely sit up he put away that entire battenburg cake and 3 cups of tea in about 4 minutes.
You mum then suggested he take a lie down in the front room.. "Yes, I shall, Thank you" and he gets up walks through the door and drops to the floor in between the stairs, door and piano. surrounded by empty sofas..
..then starts snoring.
