Split screen van prototypes=1948 made by the americans who took over the plant when it was returned to civilian control after the war. Chassis based on a shop truck used to cart stuff around the factory.
Automotive history fail.
Unless you're referring to really early beetles(inc war era ones) which did have split rear windows.
