  • hi all / Admin Velocio,

much appreciate not being banned, much favor giving the accused a say (innoncent until proven guilty?); much like the forum, consider such a space for expression / communication to be progressive.

about the previously posted link (to the website of a new watch launch, being sold by two eest-siders, one of whom rides a fixie, the other a Brompton), this was purely a 'for-your-information': there is a new (no-logo) watch out there which - like fixed gear bicycles - is designed in a simple form (no date, or extra details like numbers), so might appeal to people of this forum (especially as another fixed-gear rider and forum member thought it to be a @cool@ watch); i've bought one, in mustard.

i was not aware that such a posting was in the category/classification/danger-zone of 'spam'. for the record i am not on any "street team" (i assume Crispin Glover's post to be in jest, instead of an accusation of being a covert electrical avenue operator!).

i was interested to see what the forum thought of this new product, but as the link to the product has been censored, this hasn't been possible (!); i thought the category of Classifieds & Shopping to be an appropriate one, perhaps (in light of what happened) there is another forum category which is more appropriate.

although i appreciate (genuine) spam might be a problem for any online space such as this, has this particular incident been a case of wrongful-arrest? was my post any different in nature (recommending / informing about a new product) to this (uncensored) posting:

so, Velocio - knowing what you know now (as per this reply), was/is the original posting acceptable?

if (knowing what you now know) it was unacceptable, then it was (correctly assumed by yourself to be) a misunderstanding on my part as to what is acceptable, so (despite being surprised at breaching acceptance-controls) i would humbly offer my apologies and express gratitude for not being banned.
