i have no problem with swearing on message boards, but does anyone else think that casual threats of rape are about as appropriate as casually mentioning that you don't think niggers are very good drivers?

swearing - fine.

racism, homophobia, light-hearted references to extreme sexual violence - a bit fucked up.

FWIW on the original point it clear the drver was a cunt with no concept of what it is like to cycle, or what is safe, sensible and reasonable for drivers and cyclists. you were well within your rights to cunt him off (even if it is pointless at best*, and downright stupid at worst), more so when passers by were prepared to back you up.

EDIT - if we are serious aboout a green agenda and justice on the roads then cycling proficiency tests for everyone - taken after hours of cycling on city roads - before they start learning to drive is essential.
