just to clarify. i have one modem in the house. which i would like to have my xbox (old skool) connected to. and then use as a mass storage point.
however, this is upstairs. the router is downstairs. i have no other phone plug point in the house that works. i don't want metres of cable running through the house. and i don't have a wireless "dongle" in the back of my xbox.
am i right in thinking i can use modem/router to act as a bridge? (access point)? then have that in the back bedroom receiving signal, plug xbox into that. have laptops connect to that when i want to grab music etc. still use xbox to play films on new telly i just got?
