Also are there any functional/aesthetic differences between 7400 and 7402/3?
For the cranks:
No functional or aesthetical difference (apart from the stamped type and production code on the inside).
Just their life span / how long they wil last.
7400 and 7401 had serious problems (cracking, breaking). 7402 was a bit better.
Not that all 7400 and 7401 cranks will break and that all other cranks will stay okay. Just to answer your question.
About the number plate holder: I will have a look.

I think it's tubular only and for front 26".
