Bought a second hand headset for my beater and attempted my first assembly.
Needless to say I've fooked it up as there is quite a few mm's of play in the steerer.
The seal has split and doesn't stay in place, there's a slight crack in the adjustable race. This is tightened as well as the lock nut.
I'm wondering if this is the reason for the movement or the fact that there's a couple of mm showing above the headset.
I'm sure this is obvious to everyone else, but I've clearly got nfi.
