The spokes were more like 3x the cost of the hubs - 4x because I'm ending up with 12 spare (but one of those gets used as a deep rim nipple threading/poking tool. Nipple poking, hmmm.
Email Derek @ wheelsmith, and discuss your spoke quandary. He'll have been through the same questions with loads of customers, so plenty of anecdotal evidence.
I'd forgotten about that link you posted. UingTFS can dig up some very informative results, can't it.
