I just read an article on Bikeradar about cyclocrossers running a single chainring and normal gears at back. I remember asking on here about that before and being told that the chain can be thrown too easily, but it looks like there's a few things hitting the market to stop that.
Has anyone tried it? I'm thinking about something like this for a mountain bike to save weight and complexity, and because it's something a bit different. I tend to stay on the middle chainring at my local trails anyway, but singlespeed is maybe a step too far.
