  • Had a reccomendation from our local ski shop to try Amade in Austria so heading over there in January.

    Prior to that we've done Duex Alpes which was a little tough for a novice like me followed by Serre Chevalier, which was much better. There's a massive natural half-pipe there which is great when it's had a dose of fresh snow (a little scary when it's sheet ice). Alas I'm still one of those people who tack slowly down the difficult bits of black runs but I still enjoy myself.

    Luckily me and the gf are early risers so we always get on for first lifts and fresh snow. Can't understand why you'd drop a wedge on going on holiday only to miss the best bits of the day.
