watch they don't try fob you off with the 'we can't tell you what action was taken against the driver in this instance but we would like to let you know we have done our best to track down the driver in question and he has been dealt with accordingly.'

I'm ok Oliver, thanks. Have reported to police and tfl, who sent my complaint onto the bus company. I have had a bit of lower back gripe since the accident and the wheel is a bit out of true, but overall I'm okay, and the bike is okay. Actually the bus is okay too - the bumper just popped straight back out when I took the bike out. If the passer by hadn't taken some pics, it would have been like it never happened!

Not trying to hijack the thread here, but I can't start my own. Sem - I live in East Dulwich and commute up the Old Kent road through the city every morning so will look out for your mate's bike!! The good thing is, it's kinda hard to miss :)
