Take it steady - allow your body to understand what it is you are asking of it! Laps, Sprints, Strength training, Climbs, Endurance rides?
Break it all down to "Periods" my friend - and reap the benefits next season!!
Should weight training should be done steadily too? I got a barbell and and declining bench, my routine is normally bent over rows, squats, decline crunches and bench press. I don't feel tired after doing my sets, but should I restrict it to once or twice a week to let my muscles recover? If I wanted to do work every day I could but I currently restrict myself to 2x a week for recovery. Which method would be more efficient for muscle growth?
You should see his legs, mate!
