I learnt this the hardway accidentally putting my stupidly expensive carbon fibre ones in a while ago, the carbon fibre part was fine, but all the liner etc were damaged and cost just over £100 to be fixed as I had to have it sent back to the people that manufacture them.

Out of interest, how do you clean them, then?
