I don't know about the disk hubs but shimano hubs tend to be forged rather than the CNC of HOPE hubs. Forged = stronger due to grain of metal.
but I guess the shimano disk hubs must have to be CNCed a little for the mount, I can't see how you would manufacture it without some CNC work.
