Marc, I'm sure you're mega-fucking-busy with other stuff, but here's a couple of questions on the rules - you don't need to explain here, but it would be good to know before we play on Saturday. I'm not trying to be a cunt, this is just for clarity:
Called Goals
"Goals cannot be saved from behind the cones" - why not?
"No goal if ball goes through the goals from the back ... Offensive player cannot score until any second offensive player has possessed the ball" - it seems obvious, but to clarify ... if a defensive player 'possesses' (i.e. touches with mallet) the ball, can the offensive player then score, or does he still have to pass to a second offensive player?
Ball joints and lobs
"If ball is cupped up to goals, it has to be passed once before scoring" - there was a lot of discussion about this before the worlds, and it was finally agreed as half way. How far can you go with a ball joint before you have to pass? Is there a situation when you can ball joint, release, then shoot?
'Like' contact that is allowed:
Goal contact: Players are allowed to tap goal keeper's maller. But, no mallet holding, providing the goal from protecting his goals."
How do you define a 'tap'? Does this mean no 'Seattle'?
Time outs:
Will be limited to maximum five minutes, one per game per team" - why is this limited to one per game? If a team has two punctures, does this mean they can't stop play and fix the second one? Or if they have one injury and then one puncture ... ?
Referees and Penalties:
Referees keep track of time.
since the first games are only 8 minutes, can the referees shout '4 minutes' / '2 minutes' / '1 minute'?
I heard he's rubbish.
