Hope I'm not hijacking this thread. Last Friday my flat mate was knocked down by a van who wrenched right out of traffic on gt Portland st without indicating and then denied it...Luckily three witnesses came forward to confirm that he had not indicated. The old bill did not even bother handing in a report until my friend followed it up the next day. (I referred him to the 'what to do in case of an accident' thread thanks roxy). He ended up with a broken left wrist no front wheel and no income for at least a month, he's a courier.
I don't think this is indicative of all white vans, I have three working for me who are all aware (and often gob smacked) by cyclists. It's just worth approaching them with caution as most are working to a deadline and could be a total wanker as well.
