I am happy to put it down to that yes. I should have known better that use another cheap hub as had same problem last year. Changed to a Dura Ace and not a single slip (using exact same process and cog as on cheap and nasty hub)
That's is probably why I am a bit paranoid as has happened twice now and don't want to keep fucking up hubs but as the consensus of opinion here is clearly that it will not be a 'not tight enough' issue then I am feeling happier. Thanks.
