Tiswas, Sprinter cut should be fine for you, I'm 36-38 waist depending on cut, and I have 38" which are really comfy without being too baggy, but I can still wear undershorts under them if I want to. I lived in them when I was camping - they are such a good all round short, cool for riding - warm enough in the evening without your legs getting cold. They are a thicker, denim type material.
