I Bike MCR is ALL about cyclists meeting other cyclists so don't feel daunted at all.. you should TOTALLY come...if you feel sheepish about coming on the camp without knowing anyone come to a ladies ride or a moonlight ride or a ride during the mini festival and meet some of us, they tend to be real nice rides where loads of lone people come along to meet others..
I'm worried I'll be too slow for the rides
The rides will be tailor made to whoever comes and there will be 3 rides every day including a faster roadie type ride, an MTB ride, a fixie ride and a leisurely picnicy ride. Please just let us know what knid of riding you'll want to do when you send your deposit
I can't afford to pay the whole lot a once
No worries. We do need the deposits ASAP to secure the venue but then it's fine if you want to pay the rest in installments until the 1st February. E.g. I'll prolly pay £10 per month until feb then I'll be paid up.
Who will wash up?
I Bike MCR believes in community living and so we shall all take responsibility for jobs such as cooking, washing up, cleaning up, organising activities and workshops and evening events. Jobs will be divided up into a rota according to the team you are on- e.g. if you are on orange team you may wash up on saturday night
I'm vegan, do I need to bring my own food?
Nope! All the communal food will be vegan and delicious and each "team" will take turns cooking each evening meal. Breakfast will be in each cabin and lunch will be sandwiches/ soups. There will be an amazing vegan chef on hand to ensure that all the meals are real tasty and there are some well nice recipes..this will not be "vegan slop"!!!
Can we bring our own booze to the venue?
Totally
Do I need to bring bedding?
Yes, the bunkhouses are provided with just mattresses and clean bottom sheets. So bring your own sleeping bags or bedding and pillows.
