• But it HAS to work the other way as well - you need the high profile stuff to motivate people into finding out about the less visible stuff. There will be loads of women out there who don't even think about local level racing and have never even considered joining a cycling club but might be motivated to find out what's going on locally through seeing women's cycling at the Olympics and suddenly realising they are badass at spin class at the gym or whatever and that could translate into them kicking ass on the track.

    It's also incredibly hard to find info about women's racing and where it's happening (either that or I suck at looking for it) - I've looked loads of times and just got frustrated with out of date or incorrect info and given up.

    Obviously the answer is to make everyone watch American Flyers.
