This all sounds really interesting, and a great way of keeping the scene going through the winter.
I haven't spoken to everyone in Oxford polo, but a commitment to travel to London to play all the games might be too much. We could do it if there were dates fixed well in advance, but I suppose that's what tournaments are for. I will chat to everyone and tell them to follow the thread in case they feel they can spare the time to it.
I wouldn't particularly object to it being a London only league, although if people are realistic about their commitment I don't see a problem allowing out of towners to compete.
See you at the BFF anyway!
At least one MCR team would be well up for playing if that's allowed? We would travel to London to play as long as it was at the w'end and we knew the dates well in advance. Not sure if this would work but we'd love to play in a league.
Sounds like fertile ground for a UK cup! This idea was was brought up between myself and Strom in Zurich last year, then thrown around on the ehbpc forum back in October.
Somebody (to be decided...) would start off as the cup holders. Hypothetically, lets say Malice (as the highest ehbpc placing UK team) hold the cup, they would then have to accept challenges by any other UK team to play for the cup. It would have to be on the cup-holders court of choice and the winner takes the cup. Hypothetically say that Netto beats Malice, the cup goes to MCR. Netto would then have to accept any challenges (first come, first served!) for the cup. Hypothetically, the Toffs beat Netto, taking the cup to oxford. So on and so forth...
